I Love Dovetails –
Being quite productive yesterday, getting the parts roughed out and the sides shaped, I was going to give this cabinet a rest until I got back from Alaska, but …

… it didn’t take to long to pack and besides the plane doesn’t take-off until tomorrow afternoon … so, I thought perhaps I’d take some time and cut a dovetail or two …

Two led to four, four led to twenty … once all the tails were cut, and I squared things up with the help of a square chisel guide …

… I then marked all the pin boards.

With the tail boards resting quietly out of harms way …
I used a fret saw to remove the waste from the pin boards, and once again squared things up with the chisel guide.

After just a bit of tweaking … this thing was looking like a cabinet … or at least the shell of one!
That didn’t take as long as I thought it would. I can now fly out with a sense of accomplishment!
